My Philosophy:
A Statement of Being

I. Cosmology of the BodySoul

To me, the Body and Soul are one unified whole. Thus, I refer to them jointly as the BodySoul.
In these fractured times,
they deserve to come home to each other.

Our human bodies are woven into a complex, organic intelligence, the Earth’s BodySoul.

The Earth is our greater BodySoul.

By taking care of my own vessel and others, I tend to the Earth. Thus, my work is an act of environmental healing and stewardship.

II. Trusting Nature's Cycles

Nature’s Law of Regeneration is self-evident in trees eternally changing by the season, in menstruating bodies, and in the rhythmic pulse of all life.

It is our nature to rebirth ourselves into renewed states.

From the decay of life chapters and lessons, our inner soil cyclically becomes fertile,

and we are invited to create again,

deepening into our unique purpose.

As Mother Earth taught me,

I can always start again.

The Earth is my primary teacher.

III. This Moment's Medicine

I am a practitioner of my own medicine.

In my journey with Complex PTSD, I have learned that

Every dis-ease requires a different medicine to heal.

This Moment's Medicine could be ecstatic dance,

Or it could be release of a primal sound.

Maybe bare feet on the Earth, a shower with salt,

Deep rest, or yarrow and rose.

Gaging the precise method and dosage

in spiritual/creative/environmental healing is essential.

This requires deep attunement and listening.

Because I know the geography of trauma, I practice at the speed of safety.

I believe that the long road to the ground cannot be rushed.

We grow one breath at a time.

IV. Reverence

for the Feminine

I stand in reverence to the Feminine—the soul of the Earth.

All beings have access to this force.

She is the intuitive, subconscious, body-wise, organic, cyclical, and wild force within.

She is the chaotic, bizarre, and otherworldly force that births all life.

She is the Voice of the Land,

Our Bodies, Our Soul.

She has been shamed and silenced under the colonial patriarchy, but in this sanctuary,

She is free.

My work honors her disruptive

and evolutionary power.

Through her creativity and ability to transform,

we will collectively birth

a new world.

V. Stewarding

ReSources

Source shines uniquely through each being.

This Source creates through us, heals us, and loves us unconditionally.

To me, this Source is Love,

an erotic life stream of vital creative power uniting the Universe.

By nurturing this stream, our authentic sense of sensuality, creativity, expression, and play are liberated. Stewarding these medicinal reSources turns one into their own healer.

We are intimately woven together.

All are connected to Love.

Love is the healing Source.

VI. Ancestral Resonance & Composting the Colonial Psyche

I carry the tension of the colonizer and the colonized in my bones.

For centuries, my lineage was severed from its songs, its dances, and its Earth-rooted rituals.

I recognize that this disconnection fueled cycles of trauma and exploitation against sacred lands and sacred bodies the world over.

As a settler on Turtle Island, my ancestors and I have benefited from over 500 years of colonization.

I am committed to the lifelong work of unlearning the white dominator mind I’ve inherited.

Globally, the "Colonial Capitalist Patriarchy" is a rotting, decaying force vying to maintain the control it's had over the Earth for thousands of years (Rocio). Whiteness encourages complacency with this violent and oppressive system.

I am devoted to divesting from my whiteness;

my roots go far deeper than its inheritance.

Through the medicine prayers of my teacher,
Dra. Rocio Rosales Mesa,
I continue the process of Decolonial Shadow Work.

I choose to compost the colonial psyche and reclaim
the"holy beautiful weird" that was systematically silenced.

Numerous Earthly voices have taught me:
The Future is Indigenous.

I am a student of this movement.

I intend to serve this prophecy by returning to my own roots, the power of my voice, the sensuality of my body, and the weirdness of my soul. From childhood trauma and generational wounding,
I call my soul back home to my body.

I seek Ancestral Resonance with the land, my roots, and diverse Earthlings far and wide.

I vow to learn and practice harmonious ways to be in right relationship with the original stewards of the land.

In love, I see all as my family, no matter the divide.

I heal my environment in devotion,
one BodySoul connection at a time.

VII. Ode to the Inner Child

Let’s return to our wholeness together,

again and again.

My inner child got me through the dark.

Even though she grew up in chaos, I always had memory of her being free, joyful, and at peace.

I didn't come into this life broken.

I was born whole.

My healing is a return to this truth.

Through my journey with CPTSD,

Little Karly has been a guiding light, reminding me who I really am: I am whole. I am bright. I am love.

May the Inner Child be safe and free to play in this world, creating from the love they were born to be.

VIII: The Invitation

Though my journey was largely forged in solitude,

I have learned that we are not meant to navigate the holy, beautiful, weird of the soul alone.

I offer the map I have drawn in the dark, but

I encourage you to awaken to your own revelation.

Your sovereignty is the center.

You are the ultimate authority

of your experience.

I am here to hold the lantern, not to force the path.

Your story will be differentThank Goddess.

Your journey is precious and unrepeatable.

It is an honor to accompany you.
